Google Analytics is a powerful free tool that allows you to see how people found your site and what they did once they were there. It allows you to see what is working and what isn't with your website or digital marketing.

Google Analytics cannot give you this information unless it is installed on your website. Let's get started now if you don’t have Google Analytics!

1. Create a Google Analytics Account. You may already have a Google or YouTube account. However, we recommend that you create one for your business. Something like yourbusiness@gmail.com will work just fine.
2. Log in to Google Analytics. After you have created your Google account, you can go towww.google.com/analytics. You can sign up and create a new Google Analytics account.
3. Give your account a nameWe recommend that you use your business name.
4. Name the website that you'll be tracking. This is especially important if your website has multiple pages.
5. Enter the URLFor your website.
6. Choose a categoryLike healthcare, beauty, fitness, etc.
7. Choose yourTimezone.
8. Next, you will need toChoose which data you are willing to share with Google. We believe that the more information they have, the more they can develop new reporting features.
9. Accept their terms of service.

10. Go to the page that contains your website tracking code. This should be on every page of your website. We recommend that you place it in your website's header.
11. This is what you will needAdd this tracking code on your website. You can send the code to your developer to add it if you're not confident doing it.

After the account is created, Google will begin recording all activity on your site. It may take up to 24 hours for data to be visible in your account.
