Here's How To Save Instagram Photos

We all love Instagram. It is a great social platform for sharing visual content and finding new visual content. Like all social platforms, Instagram content can be fleeting and fast-moving, so knowing how to download or save photos and posts is a really useful skill to learn.

You can also check how to view Instagram private profile.

Here's how to save Instagram photos.

How to save Instagram photos that you have created to your phone

Instagram makes it easy to save images that you have captured, filtered and edited in the Instagram app to you phone's photo collection.

Open the Instagram app and tap the person-shaped icon to go to your profile.

Next, tap on the three horizontal lines icon in the top-right corner of your screen.

When the pop-up menu appears, choose to go into Settings. It's the first option on the top. Next, tap on "Account", then hit the "Original Photos", which will display if you are using an iOS device. Android users will be able to access the "Original posts" option.

Instagram now allows you to save your Instagram images automatically. Click the blue toggle to save original photos/posts.

Once this option has been turned on, all photos you post to Instagram will be saved to your phone’s photo library.

How to save Instagram photos from other users

It is easy to save any Instagram video or picture to a private section of your Instagram app, so you can easily view them again whenever you want. You should also know that if you save a post of someone else, regardless of whether they follow you, they won't be able tell that it's been saved.

Tap the bookmark icon below a post to save it. You can add the post to your "Saved" general folder.

You can also save a post to a particular collection in your private saved area by tapping and holding the bookmark icon. This will bring up a list of all the Instagram collections that you have created. It also gives you the opportunity to create new collections. You can do this by tapping on the "plus" symbol.

To see all the pictures or videos you have saved, tap on your profile icon. Next, click the "Saved" button that opens in the pop-up menu. This will display all the content you have saved.

We've already stated that only you can see the content you have saved and the collections you've created. Other Instagram users won't know that you have stored their content.

How to download Instagram photos from your desktop browser

Because of very valid copyright issues, Instagram does not let you download other users' photos, either on a desktop browser, or on an iOS or Android mobile device. There is an easy way to get around this limitation. This is not a good idea.

Open any Instagram image in a new browser tab to download it. (Note: If you're trying to open without being logged into your own Instagram account, you'll need to right click on the image and select "Copy Link Address.") Right click on the image to open it. A menu will appear. Select "View page source".

This will open the page source code in a new browser tab. Scroll down the code or use the "Find" feature of your browser to find the first.jpg link.

Copy the URL text between the quotation marks or speech. Copy the URL and paste it into a new browser tab. After the image loads, you can right-click to save it to your computer just like you would with a normal photo on the internet.

This guide will show you how to save Instagram images to your phone and also save content from other accounts. You can save a recipe, bookmark an inspiring quote, helpful activism guide, and create mood boards in Pinterest style for your project.
